Happy Monday :)
As I sit here at my desk, large coffee in hand and moleskin notebook opened to a carefully outlined "Things To Do" list, I'm reminded that it is officially (once again) Monday. But this Monday is different. This is the Monday after Halloween, where all water cooler talk will involve costumes and candy. This is the first Monday in November, the month of Thanksgiving. I can just hear the small talk now. "Wow Joe, I can't believe it's already November." "I know Jane, where did the year go?" This is even the Monday where I get to wear my royal blue wool pants I bought before the summer from J Crew (because they were on an incredible sale, I couldn't pass up) for the first time. And finally, if not most importantly, this is the last Monday I will ever be 23 years old for. Weird.
So as I sit here, typing and sipping, I can't help but feel slightly nostalgic for the year that has just passed. I'm also thinking about how on the Everygirl, they always ask the women who they interview "What advice would you give to your 23-year-old self?" and now (in exactly three days) I can start on my answer for that question. Even weirder.
On a less weird note, I need to think of what I want for my birthday. Although I have boards and boards and boards of items, I don't really have anything I am dying for. This must be what it's like being 24, to mature for a Barbie but not mature enough for a mid-life-crisis convertible. Still, I must think of something good. HELP!
