speedy weekend

Good morning my loves.

I don't know about all of you, but I feel like that weekend literally flew by. There was barely enough time to relax, and already we're back to Monday. Blehhh. On the bright side, apparently today is National Coffee Day, which is basically my new favorite holiday. Looks like I have an excuse to treat myself to that extra large vanilla latte (sorry, pumpkin spice has never been my thing). Couldn't be more excited :)

Good Morning my favs

I hope you all had an eventful weekend; filled with birthday parties, brunch, sports bars to cheer on your favorite team, DIYs, movie marathons, and all of the other awesome activities that are saved up for the weekend. I, unfortunately, spent most of the weekend snuggled in bed (with cat) watching How I Met Your Mother on Netflix for 48 hours straight. Typically I wouldn't mind spending an occasional weekend in, to rest and get my apartment in order, however this weekend my bed ridden self was due to being sick :(

Don't worry, just a cough kind of cold. I think it's because of the seasons changing or running around in the rain with the wrong kind of shoes last weekend. Either way after resting for the majority of the weekend, I'm feeling much better. Which is a great start to the week. Sometimes we all need to take a break, put all FOMO fears aside, and just rest.

My well rested self is officially ready for the week. Hope you all are too, but if not here's some inspiration to boost your Monday blues. Enjoy // Like // &Share

heart of the home // pt.2 //

Happy Friday my loves!

We did it! we made it through this (for some) short week, and it is finally almost the weekend. I have N'SYNC's just got paid playing in my head as I type- it's Friday night and I just-just-just-just-juuuuuuust got paid (money, money, money, money...)- if you couldn't tell, I'm so excited to be done with this week. 

Before the weekend begins though, as promised, I wanted to share part 2 of the heart of the home inspiration series. In case you missed part 1, click // HERE //. In any case, I hope you all have an amazing weekend and accomplish any and all tasks on your to-do list. colorful couches

Lately, I keep falling asleep on my couch, instead of venturing over to my bed, pretty much every night. Between the incredible comfortable navy performance velvet that my Everett sofa is upholstered in, and cat acting as my fat cat blanket, it is really hard to get up and move all (ten feet of) the way to my bed. I just get to comfortable!

Shown above in all of it's colorful glory, my little love seat acts as the perfect bed substitute (at 5'3" a 5' love seat is prime) that there are some weeks where my bed goes un-slept in several nights in a row. But, alas, although my short stature can comfortably sprawl out on a colorful little love seat, the boyfriend's cannot, which leaves me in the market for an actual sofa. Options will definitely be shared once we find a new apartment together to house this new piece (yes BIG steps being made, SO excited), but for now I'll just share some of my sofa inspiration.

I love the idea of a statement sofa. And, clearly, I like color. But I'm not 100% sure which color way I want to go now that I have to keep a man in mind. Hopefully we can find a common color ground. Don't worry, I have faith. And let's be serious, as long as it's comfy, he won't mind.
